Best Buy has better franchising process so pretty unlikely it could be a fake. I was right. It was the right product and shipping was on time.

Other brock and mortar retailer (like a certain blue store) sell these for less. Trying to get the filter in or out, the thing is actually not easy to grasp, let alone turn. Apparently you can easily install this wrong and it will leak everywhere. 'Filtered' water still has that sink flavor, and some leftover hard water minerals. A complicated mess.
