I debated on purchasing another brand fridge, but took my chance with Samsung. I do not regret it! I also appreciate the fact that I get an email from Best Buy a week ahead of the time before my filter is needing to be replaced.

I would recommend that you look for the mineral water tasting filter. It just has a better taste. Sadly, I have not been able to find some since the time that filter came included with our fridge.

The indicator light in the frig along with the attachable reminder sticker is very helpful. It can cause the water to become salty in taste, sometimes.

It is a necessity for the applicable models of refrigerators to have a properly functioning water dispenser. 6 years and no problems, so far. Even when I ignore the red light and don’t promptly change the filter.

Although the filters are expensive, this 3-pack is worth it, especially if you can get it on sale.

I would definitely recommend this product, however I would not recommend the refrigerator itself due to problems freezing and leaking constantly and the ice maker freezing up then pouring water that started right after the one year warranty expiring.

The filter lasts 6 months as described and our water always tastes great. I know that when a new one shows up at my door that the one in the fridge will need to be changed soon and we already have the replacment in hand.

You must turn off the water supply to change the filter but other than that it’s easy to turn and pull it out to insert a new filter.
