The first replacement filter I purchased was a generic. I believe it was a Best Buy brand. It was half the price of the Samsung so I gave it a try. It did not work. It fit just fine but no water would dispense. I took it back and bought the Samsung model which worked perfectly. I'm sure Samsung Incorporated something into the refrigerator that only lets the dispenser work with their filters. The good news is their filters works and lasts a reasonable amount of time.

I don't like to have problems with the generic products so for that reason I chose the original part

This water filter was easy to install. I believe this water filter last longer then my previous filter, same usage.

Filter does what it’s supposed , but wish it was cheaper considering you have to replace it frequently.
