The original factory filter lasted for about 6mths. It is very easy to remove the old and replace it with the new. Run a few glasses of water thru the system to get the filter ready and all is good.

In this case, it pays to go with the name brand.

Love having water and ice in the french door refrigerator. Responsible price and I always purchase two filters at a time so I have a backup.
