Make certain that you tighten the filter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once we were able to get the filter tight enough it worked well enough but we still do not like the taste of the water it produces. For this reason we still buy bottled water. You really have only a generic version (made with coconut shells is what we were told) or the one designed for this refrigerator.

I like the brand name over the store brand

When I purchased the store brand, it leaked. It made a mess and I was thankful that I caught it before I had a flood. This is my second Samsung filter with zero leaks.

The pre-filter process didn't take very long and was only a chore due to the refrigerator's dispenser being small and slow, not this filter.
