      About the water filter in your Samsung Refrigerator.
      Replacing the water filter in your fridge helps keep your water tasting fresh and helps to prevent odors. Your Family Hub panel will notify you when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.

    We tried the generic version of this filter and it only had 1 "O" ring to seal it so it leaked a lot! Get the Samsung filter for the Samsung fridge!

    Even though Samsung kept the same Model HAF-CIN/EXP and Replacement Cartridge:DA29-000020B but they changed the design. It does fit refrigerators built before 2017. Be careful to get the right cartridge. Best Buy only had the newer design.

    Printer creates confusing changes required to Copy-Print or other process. I had good luck making a copy, but when I needed to print from my computer, I get no info on how proceed. WIRELESS comes with a downside because if I had a printing connection, it would print.

    Appliance makers probably make a fortune on these filters. If you pondering your first replacement filter purchase, STAY AWAY FOM THE CHEAP OEM FILTERS. They can be more trouble than they are worth, and the next time you purchase the same item you could have different results.

    I followed all the directions properly and after initially installing it, it leaked everywhere and caused a lot of damage to my floors. It did not seal properly the first time I installed it. But by taking it out and reinstalling it, it works fine now. Pretty expensive for a water filter that only lasts 6 months

    These filters are ok at best. When we tested it was showing 270 particles were still in our water after filtration. That is unacceptable especially for the cost of this thing.

You may need to purchase a water purifying system to do that. The water filter is used to reduce contaminants such as lead, mercury, and pharmaceuticals that may be present in water.
