Pricey for a water filter

About the water filter in your Samsung Refrigerator.
when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.

I used a water-quality meter to test the filtering results: before using the filter, my water hardness is 275. After using the filter, the water hardness is only reduced to 250. That is, the filter only reduces the hardness by 25! --- this is very poor filtering ability. If you use any other water filter, you can generally reduce water hardness by 100 or 200. Avoid use this filter.

After three days of use, The water started coming out very slow that I eventually called for service on my refrigerator. The technician came and told me that the filter had rust in it. We didn't even have the filter in our refrigerator for more than two weeks. Had to check the filter and get a new one. Disappointed with this product would be an understatement
