    Fridge will run just fine without filter but why take a chance. Although for the amount of usage it gets (not much) I think its lifetime should be prolonged

    It filters water from input to output. Haven't installed it yet, but it is a simple kind of thing. There, that must be at least 50 characters..

    The fridge lets us know when it is time to change the filter. We ordered this one and it was shipped quickly. You can really taste a difference after the filter is changed.

    This filter works well in my refrigerator but sometimes is a little difficult to remove. A small tab on the handle would help fingers from slipping off.

    Many stores sell water filters. I was told to go to Home Depot for the best pricing. I did go and ended my transaction at Best Buy!

    Glad to get an OEM filter. In reality the filter is too pricey, and doesn't seem to last the intended duration (water runs too slowly before the 6 months are up). In fairness, that may be due to the quality of water I am dealing with. Still, exactly what i needed with my Samsung fridge.
