I wanted to have it handy for when I do need to change it. I'm sure it will work fine because the filter that's in the refrigerator is doing a good job.

Just wish Best Buy could match the price on Samsung's website but I preferred to go with the known good quality and service of Best Buy then order from Samsung for the 1st time and save few $.

I had no problems with it. The only "problem" I had was is I was a little surprised by how much force it took to get the filter seated. Next time it won't be a problem.
