Not bad enough for me to be upset, but noticeable enough that I will check the "kind" (hard water, fresh water, etc) filter at my next purchase.

Installation is a cinch (provided you know how to shut off the water to your refrigerator). I find it a bit pricey and am constantly tempted to switch back to a Brita pitcher, but this is so convenient I haven't yet gone back.
