Pretty easy, the filter fits and it works. Just make sure you buy the correct filter (there are three different styles). Replacement is way easier than the instructions make it out to be - no need to turn off the water at all. The hard part, you really have to twist the heck out of the filter to remove it, more like a half turn than a quarter. Biggest pain is running 5 gallons of water through the new filter. This is a super simple carbon filter, so it filters odors and bad flavors. It does nothing for metals or other hazardous compounds.

I have heard many stories about these leaking when purchased from other sources. I have always purchased these from where I bought my refrigerator, and they always fit. This is no exception. Don't buy cheaper replacements and then complain when they don't fit.

Very easy to install. If you're not sure how, check the short online videos. When removing our old one, the new one would not go in all the way. Looking inside the filter area, there's a middle section that looked to be off center. We had to very firmly but gently push the new filter and it finally connected. The 4-star rating is due to this item being so expensive for what it is. Still, I'd recommend this Samsung filter over a generic one.

Great product. You would aways buy OEM to avoid problems with compatible. This product has never let me down.

I’ve always stuck with genuine OEM Samsung Filters. The change out is extremely quick and easy (takes less than 5 minutes) and it really does make the water taste better. Filter is good quality and has a solid construction design. Stick with OEM. Can be expensive, but watch for Best Buy sales.

Easy to install water filter and keeps my water fresh.

Never any problems with this filter. Easy to purchase, easy to pick up, easy to install. However, I wonder if the replace filter alert is triggered purely by install date and not by usage. What if I replaced the filter and never used the water/ice features? Would I still need to replace the filter in six months?

I liked Best Buy until they put me on Automatic delivery . I have tried to cancel but unable to get the subscription canceled.

I purchased this filter online and had it shipped to my residence. Order was easy and there is an option for a subscription for this product so you buy it at a reduced rate which I signed up for. You can set up the time frame for the subscription (6 months, a year, etc) and since you need to change the filter anyways it made sense to sit up (you can cancel any time). The filter was easy to install, You pretty much set it and forget it until it comes time to change again.

I'm so glad I could my points for the cartridges for my Samsung Refrigerators. It's very easy to install, anyone can do it.

Pretty cut and dry... it's a water filter. It filters water flowing though the dispenser and ice maker. While installation is fairly simple and straight forward, removal of the expired filter can be somewhat difficult. I'm disappointed at the cost of this thing. It's not a high-tech item, but the cost I feel is exorbitant for what it actually is.

This was my first water filter replacement for our new Samsung refrigerator we bought in the Spring. I like to use original filters recommended by the manufacturer, and Best Buy (where we bought the refrigerator) helped identify the filter I needed. What I liked best is the filter was very easy to install, and didn’t require a special tool to remove and install it like our old GE refrigerator did. The water tastes great too!

It fixed a leak caused by buying a cheap amazon replacement.

Replacing the filter was easy and the water always tastes so much fresher with a new filter. They are a little on the expensive side but totally worth it and they last for quite awhile.

Filters worked better than Samsung fridge. If you buy a counter depth with water in the door, buy the warranty or buy a different brand
