I almost purchased a cheap knockoff brand online for our Samsung fridge, but after reading reviews noticed generic filters sometimes leave poor taste and many reported small leaks from them. Although these genuine Samsung filters are pricy, I have never had one not fit perfect, leak, or leave a bad taste. Do yourself a favor, it's only a couple times a year - pay the extra $$ for a REAL Samsung filter. Who knows if the knockoffs even have much filter material inside them to last the normal timeframe anyway? (Probably not).

Exact filter for my Refrigerator model (be sure to check your Refrigerator model before you purchase). Easy install and love the date stickers that come within the packaging to remind you when it's time to replace. Water is fresh, no aftertaste. Defiantly saves us a ton on bottled water!

Price of a 3 pack is about $10 more than 2 individual ones. Great savings, great product!

I bought this refrigerator because it had a water dispenser with a filter because I don't like the taste of the water in my city. I've had it about 4 years which means I've had to replace the filter 7 times. Every time I have had to replace the filter it has become more expensive! It started at $25 and now is $50 which means I am now paying $100 a year to have clean tasting water. I wonder what other filters cost or a Britta Filter? Hmmm

Never got my water tested to know what it actually does but u unscrew the old one n screw this in n u run about 3 gallons of water through it to flush it out. FYI you will hear air coming out possibly get splashed in the face and be scaree u broke something for the first gallon or 2 after you replace it. If u had a plumbing job done n the air left in the system gets pushed out but can take longer depending on models and diff factors but its totally normal.

Pro: Sleek design, easy to install (less than one minute), easy to understand directions Con: Expensive for a water filter (no other option for Samsung) Additional advice: Unless you purged your water line, expect some/little water to leak out when you removed the old filter to replace with the new one. Once the new filter is in place, you will need to "use" the water dispenser and then throw the water away (equivalent to 12 gallons) in order to flush the filter and water line of any loose particles and impurities. After that, you are good-to-go.

This is a good brand. Works well with our Samsung refrigerator. The water quality is good, also, as we have received compliments for its taste. We haven't gambled with off-brand filters, although we came close, because we don't know how that will affect the quality of taste, and the refrigerator system. This cost more however, so far it's been worth it.

Been using this filter religiously since purchasing this refrigerator nearly 5 years ago. Never had any issues. Very easy to replace. While aftermarket filters are available, I have hard water, and prefer to stick with the name brand.

I was using the Insignia brand ones because they were more affordable and came in a 2-pack. However, I should've never gone against an OEM piece. I'm extremely picky with water taste, since it's the only thing I drink, and this gave a superior taste to what I had been used to. Durability is still standard at 5-6 months, but well worth the price for sticking with the piece the manufacturer made themselves.

The product does what it is supposed to do...filter water.... No issues at all... I am very happy with the product so far.....

I've used these water filters for several years now, since I first bought my refrigerator. These filters work perfectly to filter out impurities and do not leave any residual tastes in the water. My only qualm is the cost. It would be nice if they were a bit less expensive.

If you have a Samsung refrigerator, take advantage of the ability to drink filtered water. There really is a difference, not only in taste, but quality of the water. I was not a big water drinker before, and I've always known I should drink the recommended 8 glasses a day, but never felt compelled to do so. With this water filter, I fill up a glass every time I walk past the refrigerator, it tastes that great, and I feel amazing for it. I won't ever be without this filter. I also use the filtered water in my coffee, and it has never tasted better!

Our Samsung refrigerator requires the replacement of water filters, and though it is a bit of a hassle, it's a necessary one if we want great tasting water. We've tried a few times going without when the indicator light signals that we are getting closer to the point of replacement for the filter, and yes you don't really notice the difference for the first month you skip switching out the filter, but consecutive months are quite noticeable as the water does taste ordinary. Although on the expensive side, they are indeed needed if clean, untainted water is something you wish to enjoy. They do a great job of filtering water, but they need replacement annually. It certainly adds up, but if clean, refreshing water is something you're interested in, then it's a must for Samsung fridges, work great, but expensive.

Like this refill for my fridge since I bought it. My water is always clean and the auto shipments I had is great to always be on top of it.

Simple installation, rather purchase 3 than getting 1 every single time and having to worry about running out.

A must for the poor quality water from the county.
