I had some repair work done on my fridge and the Geek Squad agent suggested that I only use OEM filters. I as a little skeptical, but gave him the benefit of the doubt as he seemed competent. After I bought this, I noticed that the Samsung filter has a double o-ring seal, while the off-brand filter had only a single o-ring seal. Not sure if this is why my fridge was leaking, but I can definitely tell the difference between genuine and knock-offs.

Good filter that came with our fridge, but ours is the smaller one. Just a little pricey. If you don’t mind the brand, best buy has their own brand for about half the price and works just as good.

After buying a filter from a different site that was counterfeit (Which was causing my fridge to leak) I decided to try this one from best buy. It had a way to check for authenticity and worked perfectly in my fridge. Will definitely buy again

These are great, name brand filters. They fit right, install easily and seem to do exactly what they are designed to do. Pay attention to the filter rating as some other options filter less than this. We're on a well and want the best filter possible. This fits the bill and had a great price.

This Samsung water filter works like a charm!! Our ice maker was making fewer and fewer ice cubes each day, then I remembered I hadn't replaced the filter in quite some time, so off to Best Buy I went! The associate was sooo helpful in finding the correct Samsung filter for my refrigerator, he was a great guy! I always count on Best Buy & they never let me down! THANKS!!

Best water filter for our refrigerator. I had ordered filters online and let me tell you, although I used the serial numbers to order on line they are not the approved filters for my specific product. Paying a little more and getting the right filter has paid off. No more leaks!

The filter does what it is suppose to do, it gives you fresh tasting water. It is easy to change the filter and it lasts six months as advertised. What is not so great is having to run water through the dispenser for 6 minutes (3 gallons) to purge the system after changing the filter. The dispenser space is not big enough to fit a huge pot to hold that much water so I have to use a smaller one and keep dumping it when it's full until I have purged it for the recommended time. At first I also thought $50 was kind of pricey for a filter but since it lasts six months I only need to change it twice a year. The cost of buying two filters for the year is still cheaper than me buying cases of bottle water for the year.

These work like a charm. Replace every 6 months and you have fresh filtered h2o.

This filter is easy to install. Hubby never encountered any problem installing it.

Just a filter for my refrigerator but I have bought off brand filters before to save money but the last one came apart when I was just removing it but the last time I bought this one from Best Buy even though more expensive it’s much better

Purchased my Samsung French Door refrigerator from Best Buy May 2020. December 2020 I needed a replacement water filter. I found the replacement water filter at Best Buy and it was cheaper than the other ones offered elsewhere and online. Thanks again Best Buy for having the appliances and compatible replacement parts.

I agree with other reviewers: What can you say about a water filter... it either works or it doesn't. Mine did. But then, I already have great-tasting water without it. The filter can't do anything to affect the water we drink from the tap or use to cook with. However, I read somewhere that the filter aids in keeping the water system in the fridge running smoothly, so I buy it. No complaints except for the exorbitant price, which is another way for Samsung and other appliance makers to keep making money from an already paid-for purchase. I recommend this product to a friend only because refrigerator manufacturers obligate owners to use them.

I enjoy purchasing this filter through Best Buy. I’ve experienced some questionable transactions via other online competitors in regards to authenticity of the part so I’d figured that it’s best to simply but a part for a refrigerator from a company that displays and sells refrigerators.
