What ever you do, do NOT buy the "generic replacement" from places such as home depot or other discounters; stick with the name brand product.

While it was new, the water tasted fine. Once it wears out, I can taste our yucky city water again. These filters cost too much to me to have to purchase as often as I’m afraid we’ll need to. I might just have to invest in a Britta jug and maybe the filter will seem to last a little longer. I would still recommend the filter to people. It just doesn’t work well enough for my large family who all can’t stand the taste of our city water, so all like to use fresh filter water for our drinks and ice trays.
