||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Samsung water dispensing equipment ( software) actually reduces the flow of water, making people think they need a new filter due to plugging. If you just hit the filter reset buttons you will find you can actually get 3-4Xs the use out of this 50 dollar filter ( at least that has been my experience and I am a hydraulics expert). There is not a filter by-pass system in this . Great filter though. Stay with the OEM but just try this little hack.

For years they came without having to do anything. Then I sold my house and tried to stop the subscription. Somehow it’s stuck deep in their system and I can’t see it. I’ve called several times and they assure me the order is cancelled but 6 months later it appears again. PLEASE STOP IT

The Samsung OEM filter has a double O-ring seal to prevent leaks, but aftermarket devices do not. Also, using these filters has prevented gravel and cobblestones from getting lodged in the icemaker.
