I own a sizable Samsung refrigerator with a ice and water dispenser. Therefore, every few months the red light of terror comes on to replace the water filter. I have to admit that I usually don't notice a taste difference in the water until after I have replaced the filter. This not to say that the watertaste bad prior to filter replacement. I just think the clean filter helps.

This is a genuine Samsung made filter. Good quality. First I wanted to save some $$$ and bought the same filter from the largest online retailer, but I received a fake I was afraid to use. I turned to BestBuy and for a little extra I received the true product.

I was looking to replace my filter and saw the product available at best buy. There are cheaper third party replacements but I read many reviews that water started leaking after a few days of use and decided to go with OEM product. The product works great. Also bestbuy did a price match to Amazon and the convenience of just picking it up was great.

Replacing this filter was so easy that I kept waiting for something to go wrong - but nothing did! Each step was problem free; from ordering online, removing the old filter, then replacing the new one. NOTHING like the challenges of replacing filters of prior refrigerators. Trust me, you won't have any problems!

Reviewed a bunch of original Samsung filters and also the 3rd party imitations. The reviews lead me to the original Samsung. However with counterfeit filters claiming to be original, the big online store does not filter them away...putting the risk on the buyer. So I purchased from Best Buy. Filter works with no problems.

The water filter comes with easy to follow instructions including tips on removing the old filter, and soaking the new filter in water before installation to remove trapped air from the carbon cartridge. Installation was easy and the filter slipped right into slot. Slide, click, turn and done.

Im happy that best buy carries OEM filters for my samsung refrigerator. Ive used after market filters and they dont seem to last as long.

Have this filter set up as a regular order/shipment through my best buy account. Comes every 6 months like clockwork. Have tried generic filters and water does not taste as well. Sticking with the Samsung filter for my fridge. Easy to install as well.

I chose the brand name Samsung over cheaper off brand filters because Samsung is actually NSF certified and lists the various chemicals/particulates (i.e. protozoan cysts, lead, chlorine, etc.) it filters out. Also, the filters are made in Korea I believe. I would not trust my water to a Chinese-made filter.

The water at my house taste like it had lead in it. I'm not sure why. But, I have noticed, that having this water filter, does make a difference. It's easy to install, clicked in perfect. With my model of refrigerator, I need to put a towel for when I put in the filter, water always trickles out until the filter is secure. But, other than that, good product.

Great replacement filter for my Samsung refrigerator.

I have purchased the off brand once and was satisfied with it however when Best Buy puts the OEM product on sale it pretty much is the same price. So watch for the sale as it doesnt happen too often and buy for your next time replacement

Bought this replacement filter when mine went out on my Samsung refrigerator. It's a simple change. Just turn the old filter counterclockwise and pull it out. Then put the new one in and make sure you run about 3 gallons of water to flush out any impurities before drinking.

Works very well—water always has a fresh taste. It’s great having it delivered in advance.

Held off buying this for a while because $50 seems like a lot for a filter. I was really surprised how well it worked though! The water had a funky taste to it before and I just assumed it was due to having well water, but once the new filter was in and flushed, water tastes so much better. Definitely worth buying, just wish it was a little cheaper.

I had a new Samsung filter which made the water taste metallic. I complained to Best Buy and they didn’t want to know. Called Samsung - not interested. I purchaeed a new filter which worked well immediately. I just feel cheated that the previous new one (costing over $50) was useles and meant I couldn’t use my fridge water and ice supply for weeks. I know things can be faulty but feel disappointed that both Best Buy and Samsung wouldn’t stand behind their product.

Keep the water clean for my family. One of the best products I don’t have to worry about changing it for like a month.

I’ve been using these filters for years. OEM filters for Samsung fridge. Easy to install and water is clean and taste better than bottled water and Lasts 6 months I’m happy with my purchase, I will continue to use this OEM filter.

We are able to use it well for ice and water supply we feel and know it is clean and safe.
