Just when I really noticed the change in the water flow and the taste of the ice cubes the indicator light came on. A little difficult to remove old filter and insert new one though, but there’s no other option.

We recommend replacing the water filter every six months. The refrigerator's water filter light will let you know when those six months are up and should be reset after changing the filter.
