It should come with a service agreement because my refrigerator flooded floor around it because you can’t tell when it is in properly.

Ever since then I've insisted on the Samsung genuine article, and had no problems. So, maybe that generic filter was defective, and maybe I'm just being ridiculous, but for this one item I'm prepared to spend the few extra bucks and be worry-free.
