What I would recommend, however, is checking the model filter you are replacing because when I got the item home and replaced the filter I found that (this was the first time we were replacing the filter in this newly purchased refrigerator) the filters were not the same; the original was Mineral not Fresh. No big deal but if you want them to be the same just make sure you check the old one first before ordering.

Replace your water filter every 6 months

The water filter provides the best tasting water and ice. I replace the filter every 6 months as suggested. A indicator light comes on to remind me to buy and replace it . It is very convenient.
