You need to make sure to prime it by running a few gallons of water through the new filter before actually drinking it. If you don't prime then there can be a plasticy taste. I found the same filter at a different store but wanted to get reward zone points so I bought at best buy since they will match the price.

Due to our hard water and sediment, this may last 4-6 months. Tried using a generic filter and that was good for about 3 mos. The only drawback is the subscription service for whatever reason is not consistent.

Their brand lasted approx one month before it slowed the water flow. I was ready to give up and call for service but when I looked on line I saw the brand worked best. I put this filter in and I has worked like new since. Can’t thank you enough
