Water filter is the OEM replacement. It was easy to install. Recommend reading the instructions (there is a small break in period where you need to flush the filter out to before using).

Fits and works. Make sure to cycle about 3 gallons of water after installation.

On September 18, 2018, Consumer Reports published an analysis on the problems that cheap online water filters have and found that many sold online are actually counterfeits. F A brief excerpt from the article when discussing online filters: "...at least some of them are counterfeit water filters. They are sold online, some under the refrigerator’s brand name, but are actually fakes. Just last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized more than 100,000 counterfeit water filters entering the country. According to a recent industry-sponsored study, counterfeit filters can do more harm than good—contaminating the water that passes through them. As a result, Consumer Reports believes these counterfeits pose a potential health concern." Sure, you can find an online refrigerator water filter that's cheaper, but it's better to visit a store you trust (like Best Buy) and pay a little bit more for a genuine Samsung filter. That way you have the assurance that your water filter is actually removing impurities; not adding them.

My Samsung fridge is terrific. The easy to change and reasonably-priced filter lets me have cleaner ice and cold water readily available!

I wasn’t able to find the filter based on my refrigerator model on my on my own. Bestbuy sales associate assisted and when I got home it was easy to install no issues.

considered buying from other online sites for better price but many reviews about counterfeit versions, problems with improper fit, etc.decided to go with genuine Samsung at store.

We're using the water from tap for cooking and to drink. This filter gives us peace of mind when ever using water from the refrigerator. It's easy replacable.

Receive every six months. Keeps me from going to the stores trying to find tjis item.

Salesman recommended this product. I'm not sure if the generic brand is as good because I haven't tried it yet. This product is a little expensive but I guess you get what you pay for.
