All the open water shots are amazing definitely worth watching three times

This was really cool. The action sequences were exciting to watch

I’ve been a fan of Costner since Silverado. I actually saw this film when it hit theaters. I can forgive him for the occasional bad film, but I don’t think this is one of them. It’s a flawed film to be sure. It also wasn’t a financial failure. It actually made money if you include foreign box office. The script could have used some work, and I think Hopper was miscast. I also wish it was a darker film, instead of a swashbuckler. The costumes were the usual B movie type. I think it’s a fun time waster, and I’ll watch it often. The Arrow release is beautiful, and has all the extras I could hope for. This is the two disc release, not the limited edition. This edition is worth the price, pick it up while you can.

Audio and video transfer was quite good actually. My issue is that if you wanted to see the extended version instead of the theoretical version you then had to pop in the Blu-ray disc as it was not featured in 4K. That would have been nice to know before purchasing as it only said 4K and Blu-ray, extended and theoretical versions, but now which one was where.

Waterworld is a 1995 American post-apocalyptic action film directed by Kevin Reynolds and co-written by Peter Rader and David Twohy. Kevin Costner as The Mariner Dennis Hopper as The Deacon Jeanne Tripplehorn as Helen Tina Majorino as Enola Michael Jeter as Old Gregor Set in the future after global warming has melted the polar caps and terra firma seems to be a myth. The fight for hope is as real as the fight for life. Excellent film.

Both Waterworld and The Postman are much better than what the critics will have you believe and to get a 4K steelbook with code for $14 is a fantastic deal! Plus they made Waterworld into an attraction at Universal Studios Park

The Picture and audio quality of this groundbreaking movie just keeps getting better. The Arrow Bluray release has a ton of extras, but the 4K item is a treat. A cult favorite that was just savaged on initial release, but I always loved. I'm glad that so many people seem to be jumping on this super guilty pressure. Dennis Hopper almost pulls off a Jack Nicholson Joker (not quite) by stealing the show as the most over the top villain ever put on film. Plot Holes to drive an aircraft carrier through, but it's just so much fun who cares.

Finally a definitive version (or as close as we can get right now) of Waterworld. This includes a very well made fan edit that restores many cut scenes as well as two other versions of the film. Maybe one day they'll officially make a fully restored version that doesn't require fans to piece things together as the movie is a TON better with the extra scenes. While not a perfect movie the extra content helps it out. Worth a rewatch if you disliked the theatrical release.

Waterworld has been given a lot of crap throughout Hollywood's history as being a VERY expensive movie that became an absolute box office failure (even though there is a Wateworld themed ride at Universal Studios). BUT, it's Kevin Costner at a time when movies still had spectacle without the VFX that we see in abundance today. It may not be your cup of tea, but in gorgeous 4K and a really cool steenbok as a bonus, if you're a fan of the movie, it's a must buy.

If the world were to really ever become this waterworld, this movie is a nice depiction of how things may really be! I think this is a great movie and it is fun to watch but beware, it is definitely an adult flick psychologically. Some scenes may be difficult for a younger mind to decipher or understand! Kevin Costner’s personal demeanor works really well in this role. Great character selection in the cast. Love the storyline!

I think this was one of the most expensive films ever to make. Even though it didn't get the best reviews, it is still one of my favorites. I had it in DVD, but had to get a 4K copy. The 4K version is fantastic. The blues of the water jump out at you. It's a way out there version of the world that has been covered by water, and it gives a picture of how the last survivors exist on what is left. The action scenes are great.

A post apocalyptic classic. This film is so unique in it's setting that you will get sucked in almost immediately. To this day the special effects still stand up. Almost no CGI was involved and they went way over budget making this thing. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it, it's well worth your time! Kevin Costner and Dennis Hopper at their finest.

Fun water action drama and futuristic movie. This is a great Kevin Costner movie. It is fun and can be violent at times - the violence is overplayed to the point at times to be humorous too. Although, like may movies, there are holes in the plot, but still worth watching - for example, the bad guys smoke cigarettes and one wonders how they got cigarettes. Plus, there is some romantic tension with the main character and this provides a great vehicle between the violence.
