Speedy good time with Sonic

My Kid is a huge Sonic fan

Great minifig, TERRIBLE game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I'm a HUGE LEGO Dimensions fan. I own most of the sets and was really excited to see what TT games did with this property. The minifig is awesome (and really the only reason this set gets 2 stars instead of 1). The game play, however, is terrible. Sonic is miserable to try and control. While the game level is beautifully designed, I didn't really get to enjoy it because I was trying desperately to try to get Sonic to do what he was supposed to. While the game level was decent but flawed, the Sonic World is even worse. Specifically, the races. There are (as far as I can tell) 4 land races and I can't say that any of the are particularly fun. If you enjoy repeatedly trying to pass a race for hours, then this is right up your alley. For everyone else, AVOID. This is probably the first time that I am going to give up on trying to pass these things. It just isn't any fun to deal with wonky controls while trying to navigate frustrating courses.
