Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the BLACK SN850 1TB Internal Gaming SSD's performance, storage capacity, ease of installation, and user-friendliness, with many praising its compatibility with the PS5. A common concern is the need for a heatsink to manage heat generation, although many users report successful installations with added cooling solutions. The price point is also frequently cited as a positive aspect. While some users experienced longer load times, the majority reported significantly improved loading speeds.

My bf uses this for his PC that he built, unfortunately for me it didn’t fit my laptop (Dell G5515) still a good product just not what I needed. Also, in store it read “4x4” but after i bought it and scanned it in the app it said 3x4 in the product details so be careful with that cos I needed a 4x4 not 3x4

I bought this particular SSD for my PlayStation five Console because I ran out of memory for my games. This SSC was recommended by the Sony PlayStation five Console architect and I can see why, it works perfect and is faster than the SSD that comes with the console. I bought the 1 TB version.

I bought this for use in a PS5 and put a $12 ineo heat sink on it. The PS5 recognized the drive on power up, formatted it and tested the read speed. It came out to be 6555MB/s, faster than the internal SSD. Highly recommended!

Bought this for my PS5. Super easy to install and super fast. Just as fast or faster than the HDD that comes with the PS5. I bought a Sargent heatsink on amazon for $15. It's easy to install, I watched a video on youtube just to make sure I did everything correctly.

Ridiculously fast. I currently have it in my gaming PC, but I might end up switching it over to my PS5 at a later date. Nice to have that flexibility since it meets the PS5's requirements. Is it expensive? Yeah. But is it stupid fast? Yeah. So should you get it? Yeah.

Actually has a whole free TB for use! Everything else says it has a certain amount of memory like micro sd cards for example but when you pop them in your device they are missing several gigs from what is advertised. The WD Sn850 Actually gives you the whole Terabyte to use.

Bought a separate heatsink online since I couldn't find one on BestBuy. That aside, this was excellent and installed perfectly on my PS5! Very Happy! Games seem to load even quicker than with the on board memory! Probably just a brain thing, but it goes to show this works great!

Great addition to my PS5 for all my games. Bought a cheap heatsink for it and working good so far!! Love the speed on this card. Games come up quick without lag! Upgrade your PS5 with one of these, better yet get the 2gb stick!!

Super fast and great storage size for PS5. The ssd in the PS5 is only 825GB so you can imagine how fast it fills up with games that are bigger than 100GB. This ssd allows me to install games without worrying about running out of space.

I installed this as a boot drive in my new AMD build with 64 GB memory and AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor on an MSI B550 MB. The system is very fast, snappy. I couldn't be happier. I recommend this to any quality oriented builder/user.

I used this with my PS5 as an internal upgraded memory. I am not using a heat sink but I’ve kept the metal cover off of the port. The benchmark tests show it is performing very well and well below any temperature levels that would raise worry. Great product.

I bought two of these, one 1TB drive and one 2TB drive. They're both very fast drives and easy to install. I was a little sketched out at first because the device names are wildly different in the system information, so I was worried one of them was fake, but it was just a normal inconsistency in branding between models. Also, they didn't roll out the firmware updates at the same time, so for a while, one capacity had newer firmware than the other, even though they are otherwise the same device. My only real gripe is that you need Windows to update the firmware.

I love this drive! It’s sooo fast!!! The best I ever used so far. I use it with an external aluminum thunderbolt 3 case. Works great with my MacBook Pro. So far so good. If you want to use it as an internal drive will be great for video editing and music creation!!!

So far I've been very impressed with the stability and performance of this nvme drive. The dashboard software provides all needed info and functionality. No firmware updates issued since release but I'm hoping even more performance enhancements are made to the controller.

This SSD is really, really fast. It benchmarks phenomenally, although you really need PCIE Gen 4 to get the full benefit. For most uses, it's probably faster than necessary, so consider a Gen 3 drive unless you know you need the speed.

I purchased the 1TB WD SSD during Black Friday for $150. I'm using it in my PS5 along with the Sabrent M.2 PS5 heatsink. Make sure to buy a heatsink and you're golden. I ran out of SSD space with the internal drive.

Excellent choice for my ps5 storage needs. This thing is faster than my console storage!! The Samsung one doesn't have a way to update the firmware through the console. Hence, had to go with this but now I am satisfied!
