WD or Firecuda for PS5

I Had an ADATA but ran over 500MB/s slower. The heat sink on it was horrible and ran hotter so I went with the WD.

Bought for PS5 storage expansion

Transferred a 100gb game from the stock ssd to the WD black 1tb ssd and it took maybe 45 seconds to transfer the whole game. Great price and lightning fast if you are one who wants more than 5-7 games installed on your PS5 at once. More than doubled my storage and is just as fast as the stock ssd. For the sale price you can’t beat it! Don’t wait for a PS brand ssd to come out someday.

Easy to install and performance speed is virtually identical to the internal drive. One note, WD has recently released an "officially licensed for ps5" version of this drive in a blue box that is priced a few bucks more than this model. As far as I can tell, the "officially licensed" SSD and this SSD are identical so save yourself some money and buy this version.
