Needed for a PlayStation 5, the ssd keeps up with the consoles internal speed and power, and the more games you can play the better

I got this for the PS5. It was easy to install, and the system found it immediately. After a quick format, I was able to save games directly to it. This one has the built in heat sink, which is a requirement for the PS5. I have used WD drives in the past, and they have always lasted a long time. So far, I cannot tell the difference between a game loading on this drive vs. the drive that came with the PS5. Plus, Best Buy seems to offer discounts on this often. I highly recommend it for your PS5.

Had issues with storage before. Always had to delete games to make room for others. Now we have more storage to have all the games we want.

Super easy to put into the playstation and i caught it on sale so i was pleasantly surprised..I would recommend this to all my family and friends..

Was incredibly easy to install in the PS5. Took a couple minutes with instructions from the PS website. Transferred a 100gb game from the stock ssd to the WD black 1tb ssd and it took maybe 45 seconds to transfer the whole game. Great price and lightning fast if you are one who wants more than 5-7 games installed on your PS5 at once. More than doubled my storage and is just as fast as the stock ssd. For the sale price you can’t beat it! Don’t wait for a PS brand ssd to come out someday.

I highly recommend. I got it for my PS5 coincidentally the same day Sony issued the system software update that finally allowed its use. Very worthwhile if you like to extend your storage but prefer not to have an external piece. Also the read speeds are top notch- and more system specific features all for a fair price. As one of the best internal ssd’s compatible with PS5 out there currently, I’d say it’s a must have for anyone who plays more than on a casual level (in terms of time and game preferences/quantity).

Perfect. Simple to install, even for someone like me that has no idea about working internals. 5 minutes at max. Had it for three months, zero problems.

I have been using this SSD in my ps5 for the last month and so far so good. Easy to install and performance speed is virtually identical to the internal drive. One note, WD has recently released an "officially licensed for ps5" version of this drive in a blue box that is priced a few bucks more than this model. As far as I can tell, the "officially licensed" SSD and this SSD are identical so save yourself some money and buy this version.
