Filled my internal storage on my PS5, so I spent time researching external HDs to for more space. After weeks of reading reviews, I went to my local BB to buy an external. An employee who helped me asked why I was getting an external and not an internal….. I said I didn’t want to open my console and deal with installation. He chuckled and said it couldn’t be any easier to install, and far more convenient than having external. So I took his advise on a whim and got the PS5 licensed WD black 1tb internal ssd drive. Installed it that same day in a matter of minutes and all has been perfect since. It actually gave me 1tb worth of storage which was nice to see as well. Simple formatting, and away you go. Would definitely recommend going internal for ps5 users after this experience. WD black is top notch!

I had received a defective one. Which made me feel unsatisfied and disappointed with this item.

Bought this SSD for my PlayStation 5.Was super easy to install.Very fast and now I have another 1tb of storage space.Although a little bit pricey,I would recommend if you want some more room for games on your PS5.

Definitely needed for more storage. If you have base storage PS5.

My only complaint would be the price, and i know you could get it cheaper without a heat sink and install your own. However, for peace of mind i chose to buy this, and installation was easy. I think it was harder to remove the ps5 plates lol. On boot up, ps5 instantly recognized the ssd drive and i was up and running in few mins. I tested out moving files to it and actually playing games from this drive, and it was fast as the default ps5 storage. This ssd is a must especially with new games coming next year :)

Perfect if you're a PlayStation 5 owner who is looking for expandable memory. Just pop the bottom case off and slide it in the slot.

This is a must have for any PS5 owner. Expands your memory to 1TB. 2TB, 4TB…..make sure you think ahead and how many games you are really going to be getting, if they are large games they will eat up space on your console in a hurry. Expanding the memory with a M.2 SSD is the way to go and Western Digital makes very good ones with heat sinks installed….

Perfect for extra storage and really easy to install, I’ve only had it a few days and wish I went with the 2TB but for now it solved my storage probelms
