    I have been using this SSD in my ps5 for the last month and so far so good. Easy to install and performance speed is virtually identical to the internal drive. One note, WD has recently released an "officially licensed for ps5" version of this drive in a blue box that is priced a few bucks more than this model. As far as I can tell, the "officially licensed" SSD and this SSD are identical so save yourself some money and buy this version.

    I got this when it was on sale for my PS5 so that I didn't have to play hot potato with hdd storage anymore and it's honestly one of the best decisions I've DONE. It's very easy to install, all you need is a screwdriver for 2 bolts. After a couple of weeks of use I haven't noticed any real difference in loading speed between this and the PS5 native ssd, it feels just right. If you need extra storage, I highly recommend it.
