I took apart my iMac 2011 and installed this drive and wow what an upgrade it was! ***if you are working on 4k video yes this works well but samsung evo's are technically better which i have installed on my mac book pro but does cost a bit more usually either way you won't be disappointed.

Amazing product, I purchased this SSD to speed up my laptop, and wow, what a difference , is like day and night. Boot up times reduced to 4 Seconds from the moment I pressed on button to the moment I can input my password. I really recommend this product to anyone that wants to give a new life to an old laptop.

Great drive for the price if you get it on sale. 9.31gb of usable space when installed and formatted with Windows 11. It's plenty fast and WD has always been reliable so I'm expecting a long life from this SSD.

Easy installation if you are used to replacing internal harddrives - a great drive very fast made my old MacBook and even my iMac (2018) feel like new. Only took off points because you do need to know a little about opening up your computer to install a new internal HDD

1T ssd drive from WD is fast. Win 10 boots in seconds. This replaces a Samsung 860 that crashed after 2 months of use. Running this about 6 weeks no issues The WD website to register the product didn't recognize the model ...dumba** Very pleased with the purchase.

Easy install. Easy clone. Great under the hood performance for the price. Just installed Nov. 4 2021. Let's see how long it lasts. WD has been reliable fof me over the past 20 yrs. Expecting nothing less from this ssd.

Bought this as a media dumping ground and it works great! Not much to say except SSD prices continue to come down. Definitely add this to your system if you handle large files for video editing and photography, etc.

This solid state hard drive makes for a faster and much more stable storage drive . Over time a mechanical hard drive has a good chance of failing . With no moving parts in the solid state drive, there is no heat build up and parts to wear out .

I bought a ps4 last year on prime day and began to use it way more during the coronavirus pandemic. I started to get annoyed of how slow loading times where on certain games and having to do a data base rebuild constantly every time I downloaded or deleted something on the system. I tried saving my money and waiting it out for ps5 but I found this on sale for $70 off and had to steal it. It gets the job done and makes my ps4 feel more snappy compared to the stock Toshiba hard drive that came with mine. Overall I highly recommend this ssd for those who own a ps4 or any other device sata ports or connections. You can also get a sata to usb or usb c adapter and use this as external storage also.

Great upgrade for the Xbox hard drive. I noticed the Xbox boot up faster and the game load up faster compared to the original hard drive. It was very easy to install and works as described.

Needed to upgrade my main boot drive on my pc, but didn't have a big budget. This works great. Easy to install. Just remember this comes unformatted, so the system won't recognize it right away. You can find it under "Disk management" on your start menu.

What a great upgrade! Cloned information to this from a mechanical hard drive and the PC has new life! I anticipate that this will last several years, and it has added life to my PC making it much faster! Thank you for the great price too!

I've bought hundreds of drives over the years (I'm an old computer technician) and it always comes down to Western Digital & Seagate for standard mechanical drives; and Western Digital or Samsung for SSD-type drives. I prefer the Western Digital for the mechanical type but for the SSD-type like the Blue 500GB drive referred to here, either the Samsung or WD work great (I have several of each). Go with the least expensive of the two, they are both high quality drives.

I installed this in an old desktop that had an old hardrive that was slowing down and taking forever to boot up. It was easy to use the software to clone the drive. Install was easy and it has dramatically increased the speed of my PC. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Works well. I also have ssd from other manufacturers and this is compoarable. I've run some drive tests from other manufacturers and the number are twice a 7200 rpm drive, but so are the others. The numbers they give you are very application dependent. I'm using these on older DDR2 memory PCs, so that may be part of the issue, but it works good. The best performance is to use these SSD drive as a second drive for the apps or this as the main and the other drive for apps. B&H had it for $10 cheaper, but I needed it quickly. Best Buy wouldn't match B&H despite their price matching it is only for competitors they decide. They matched Walmart.

Replaced my PS4 hard drive with this hard drive and absolutely love it great storage space for the price, and is much faster than the original. Haven’t had any issues.

This pocket rocket has made my 2013 iMac young again. I swapped out the hard drive and inserted this speedy SSD and it was like magic. My computer boots faster than my iPad. I am so happy that I do not have to spend four figures to replace my computer.

Purchased to replace/upgrade HD in launch day PS4. Games seem to be loading 15-20 seconds quicker and I’m noticing a much quieter console. Very happy with performance, ease of installation, and the extra space for games. Great value

Was super easy to swap over with the included software and external USB hookup, whole thing took about an Hr start to finish. Like a new laptop after the swap over. I cannot believe how fast my computer is for a simple upgrade. Highly recommended.
