I can't imagine what newish laptops/computers aren't using SSD drives, but whether you have a small capacity SSD drive or still using an old computer with a traditional HDD, you owe it to yourself to upgrade. Your computer will turn on quicker, you can save/open things quicker. It's a no brainer to give your computer an instant speed boost. And the GB to dollar ratio has gone way down. If you're in the market go with the 1 TB. You won't regret it. My only advice is to do your homework if it's your first time upgrading a hard drive. It's one of the easiest computer "changes" or "upgrades" to make, but still, make sure you get an idea of the install process (and copying your old hard drive's contents to the new drive) before beginning.

Hard drive went out on mid 2012 MacBook Pro, installed this as a replacement and has worked like a champ. Only had it installed 3 weeks but no issues so far. Boots up faster, and do not get the spinning beach ball on a regular basis now.

I have a fairly old laptop so I did not think it was worth it, but now the price was right and I finally upgraded from spinning disk. It was worth every penny... Now the slowest component is the ATI graphics card.

Just what I needed to expand and speed up the storage on my 2012 Macbook Pro. This will extend the life and usage by a few years. Price was good for the amount of storage also. Glad I purchased it.

My hard disk was starting to hiccup and I had to either buy a new laptop or replace the disk. I decided to upgrade to an SSD. This was the best thing. It is lightning fast and the installation and moving all the software from my old HDD was effortless.

Very fast SSD and priced right. I used it in a Hard Drive enclosure so I could have an external Mac backup drive. Just let the software image it for time machine and your ready to go.

I was a bit skeptical about how fast SSD drives load windows and programs, but now I'm not! 5 sec boot time and instant off! I bought to save power on laptop battery and for the speed! WD never disappoints! Use any free Cloning software and boom!

Easy install, cloned the boot drive and that was it. No problems. Restart went from 4m37sec to 42 sec and Photoshop load went from 3min 10 sec to 38 sec. HP Envy 1414 16 gig ram and 4 gig graphics and AMD 6120 Windows 10 home.

I have like 5 of these. I have one in my PC, PS4, and a couple for external drives. Very reliable and fast SSD. You can't go wrong with WD.

I bought this SDD to replace an HDD and what an improvement in performance for my aging computer. Easy Install and transfer of my operating system to this SDD.

So my main HDD had such a major crash from drivers over a month ago and I did not have a chance to do a current backup. So instead of having to erase the drive to fix, I chose to get a newer drive and knew I would want a SSD to get the speed benefits that I had experienced with putting one in my laptop. The WD Blue has been pretty good, shut downs and restarts only take couple of seconds instead of the minutes it did before with the old HDD. Once I back upped the old drive I turned it into a back up drive. Overall I am very satisfied with this drive.

Much needed for an old computer... updated an Alienware R2 X51. Boots up fast. The 1TB is worth the extra dollars. 120 mb transfer speed before now its avg. 500 mb/ sec. OS and games load up way faster now. Get the 1 TB.

I used this to replace a 8 year old failing standard hard drive that I was using as a document and programs drive. The difference is really noticeable on accessing and saving files. Highly recommended at the price and size.

This SSD does a fantastic job and was really worth the price to replace old mechanical hard drives. I'm using this to load games on my desktop, but this is perfect to bring an old laptop back to life.

Its worth it every penny. The WD SSD gave new life to my laptop. It was very slow with my old hard disk. I replaced it with this SSD disk and ithe performance is amazingly fast now. My laptop boots up in no time.

Solid SSD. WD is reliable. This drive doesn't have the absolute fastest speeds, not as a Samsung drive, but a lot cheaper and good enough for everyday use.

This SSD really give a new life to my 8 year old pc. The cloning process was simple, although it didn’t come with any free software. I threw two sticks of 8 GB ram and I now have practically a new pc.
