The reason why I am rating this as poor because greek squad put the wrong hard drive in my laptop. The original failed and caused laptop not to work. Geek squad put this one in and it worked. The bad thing was that the touch screen didnt work so i took it back few months later and they discovered that the technician who originaly put the hard drive in was the wrong hard drive. So they put the correct one in and everything included the touch screen worked.

Disappointed! We signed a manintanece contract with the Geek Squad for $200+ and then paid $40 for a hard drive they said we needed to fix our dated laptop. We were notified that it was ready and when the rep turned it on to show us, she realized that it needed an updated version of Windows for another $130+ to work at all. Now we're either stuck with it or have to pay that $131 (for an old laptop) or shell out more $ and just buy a new one.

My desktop is locking-up and shutting down on its own. I took it to GeekSquad and described the problem. They diagnosed the problem as a bad hard drive and replaced it, even though I told them I think the OS is corrupted. So after getting my computer back it is still locking-up, shutting down, and restaring with a blue screen. I'll have to go through this whole process again. Or maybe take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Grrrrrrrrrr.

This drive is great. Installed easy - online installation instructions were good. This was a replacement drive for my older Dell desktop. I downloaded and installed the Dashboard, and Acronis clone software first, then installed the drive. The drive was recognized, and the cloning took about 2 1/2 hours (about 325 GB. Remember you will need a free SATA cable, and port to install. Switched cables to the new drive and started up the PC. Flawless installation. The PC booted up fast. I did not run speed tests, I find them to not really tell me anything useful, but what does count is how fast my normal programs load, and perform. Everything is much faster. PC boots up in seconds now. I do recommend this drive, and I will be buying more of them.

This drive was not recognized by my BIOS, returned to store for a replacement and the replacement had the same issue. Apparently there is some firmware issue and it is not recognized by some motherboards. WD support had no resolution for this issue and offered me an RMA... now I am weeks without my product despite spending over $100. Be cautious with this product

They charge me for a 1GB hard drive but they put in a 250MB hard drive

I bought one of these and it was DOA. I took it back and got a replacement and it was DOA. Ruled out the cable being the issue with another drive. I returned the second one and got a Crucial MX500 1000GB instead and it worked immediately. I wont be buying WD products again.

Purchased one of these for my son to build his own gaming computer. It lasted about 6 weeks before giving up. Unfortunately out of return period. We replaced it with a SSD from our local computer shop. Hoping that one lasts a little longer.

I installed Mac OS High Sierra for an external boot drive. It worked well for about 18 to 24 months. After that, it failed and had to be reformatted and restored from back up. Since then it fails often and needs to be reformatted and restored, some times twice in a week.

I’ve taken my computer in there to be repaired twice and it’s worse than it was when I first took it in there now I have to wake up early in the morning and take it there yet again even though my class starts on Friday and I won’t have a computer for it absolutely terrible experience

Would not initiate in windows no matter what was done.

I ordered this SSD from Best Buy because I need to wean myself off of Amazon. I was offered 2 day shipping. It was not delivered in two days. I posted a review last month, and I believe it was never posted. Bestbuy dropped the ball here.

Installed one of these in my PS4 slim, worked fine for a month, then one day everything was corrupted and had to do an entire system reinstallation. Lost all my games and saves.

Wanted to return this product but could not because I was one day outside of the return period. Come on its a world wide pandemic, seriously?

Will not replicate from the primary drive as a replacement, only works as a data drive. Software for replication does not recognize it.

Online support totally messed up this transaction, shipped to wrong location, then location was unable to to the install as online had promised.

This thing quit working around 5 months after purchase. Cannot read it's contents. Tried numerouse computers and cables

Hard drive died in less than three months with not but 2 weeks of usage

Great products but still too expensive no reason why old tech should cost over 100 dollars

I have had significant crashes and browser issues since this was installed.
