I purchased this because of the lag time on my hard drive during startup. I'm a photographer and I really needed the speed for my Photoshop and Lightroom software. I've been doing research on these and the reviews have been nothing but good. It was a great price for $104.99 down from $189.99. I could not pass it up. And its not even Black Friday yet. I put this on my HP Desktop. All you have to do is Clone it with a third party software either with Macrium Reflect Or Acronis True Image. I had a lot of data, so it took me awhile to copy everything. But I have to admit, my computer is super fast now. Get it, you will not regret it. Awesome with a capital A. When the WD SSD 2TB goes on sale, I'll be the first in line to get it.

Only 931GB of available space. Not a full 1TB SSD.

Good speeds easy install on my Acer laptop. Would definitely recommend if you need more space and faster load times on apps or games.

Replace my old HD with this faster SSD drive. My computer runs fast now.

Installed this on a 5 year old HP desktop PC. Bootup times had progressively grown longer, and system response in general had lost its snappiness. After bootup, the HDD would continue to churn at 100% for some 10 minutes or so before dropping to idle. I thought perhaps it was time for a new PC; decided to try installing the SSD. The computer now boots up in under 30 seconds, and SSD activity quickly drops to idle. System response is nice and snappy again. I did have to download MiniTool’s free ShadowMaker in order to clone the old 2 TB HDD to the new 1 TB SSD. Western Digital’s Acronis True Image software will not clone a larger HDD to a smaller drive, even if the smaller drive has sufficient capacity to accommodate the files stored on the larger hard drive. In my case, only some 550 GB of the 2 TB HDD was in use. So, while the SSD works great, only a four star rating, because of the software workaround. Took about 4 hours to clone the old HDD to the new SDD. Incidentally, the Recovery Image (D:) shows as red on the SSD. On the old HDD, the Recovery Image had 1.52 GB free of 11.6 GB. Post cloning, the SSD Recovery Image shows 2.90 MB free of 10.1 GB, which I’m sure is due to the MiniTool software not reserving more space than necessary to accommodate transferring the old Recovery Image.

Nice drive for the price. Easy installation and setup. Works great as an extra drive in my desktop that I loaded the new Microsoft Flight Sim 2020

Fast! Made my computer feel much quicker than the orignal drive!

SSD drive is great, at a great price, happy with purchase! Store ordering/management leaves much to be desired. Ordered online with "ready in an hour" showing. After an hour and no "ready for pickup" notification, I tried calling store, after on hold for 20 mins with no answer, I drive to store (still on hold). Walk in store to see 4 employees at Customer Service/order pick up essentially doing nothing and the store was not busy. Explained why I was there an employee gave standard line how they could be "busy" at the time of my call. I looked around and looked at him. RIght. Anyway, BB could do a LOT better in this area, like pick up the phone instead of keeping it on hold for 30 minutes when the store isn't busy.

Bought this for my wife's aging Toshiba Satellite P75. This solid state drive brought new life to this laptop. With 8 gigabytes of RAM the laptop is now quite responsive and serves her needs quiet well. I am almost envious. Almost willing to try it in another laptop that is older than this one.

There's really nothing to distinguish this SSD from the pack; it's not the fastest but it's certainly fast enough if you're not installing it into a 4GHz Core i7 with 16GB of RAM; I'd probably use a Samsung 860 EVO there (or an M2 nVME if such a slot was available). Regardless, if your Mac or PC is using a spinning hard drive and you can open up the computer to get at it and if it normally uses a 2.5" drive, then this WD Blue will speed up the machine dramatically. Worked great and no glitches at all.

I replace my HDD with this SSD. It turned my slow i7 notebook into a lightning fast notebook. Huge difference! Well worth the $$.

Worked great for a drive clone from a old std drive. Made my old computer 10x faster and usable again.

Always prefer SSD and Western Digital is proven tried and true over the years for our business.

The SSD is a lightning fast replacement to a HDD. I greatly value this drive.

WD- Blue 3D and SanDisk Ultra 3D are the same drive internally. They differ in the label and package. Western Digital makes a good product and both have a 3 year warranty. Therefore, buy the cheaper of the two at the time of purchase.
