This is among the cheaper SSD brands, but it’s entirely adequate for everyday use. If, however you deal with a lot of video and other large types of files that you need to access or transfer, this one may not be the beat choice. Also, most other brands carry a 3- or -year warranty. This one has a 2-year. I’m not sure this WD brand has been around long enough to see how long it will last, but I’ve installed many, and so far none have failed.

I recently upgraded my hard drive in my 2012 MacBook Pro with this and it now works as fast as a newer one. Good price for 1TB and speeds up my workflow.

The SSD (Solid State Disk) gives 30 seconds boots and internet pages load much faster. No moving parts makes faster hard drive performance.

Fits right into the PS4 (1st gen). An easy way to double the storage space. Seems to be working well without any drops in speed.

The hard drive in my iMac failed and left me looking at new iMacs. I discovered that I could replace the 1 TB mechanical drive With a SSD for around $125! It was a no brainer. The cost to install the Drive was around $120. Far cheaper than buying a new Mac. On top of that, the performance of my iMac has improved with the new technology. If you are faced with this issue, I strongly urge urge you to do what I did!

Purchased on sale for to replace the mechanical hard drive in my wife's desktop. Downloaded the WD transfer program, hooked up the SSD in place of the CD Drive and away we went. Not sure how much stuff she had on her old 1TB (partitioned) drive, but transfer was complete in about 30 minutes. Unhooked the old drive, connected to the SSD and, with fingers crossed, rebooted. No issues going right into Windows 10 and both partitions were there. Computer boots faster and programs load faster. She (and therefore I) am happy.

Runs ultra fast, reliable company. 1TB storage should be more than enough assuming you do not want an entire game library installed

Worked as expected. Awesome upgrade to my regular SATA drive. I can definitely notice the increase in speed. No noise.

I have two of these now... one for about two years... and I have had no problems with them. The supporting software is easy to understand and use. With the 5 year warranty, I hope/expect that it will give trouble free service for a very long time. WD has always been my "go to" HD brand because their HDs have always worked well for me, lasting very long and such. I am hoping/betting that the same will turnout to be the case with their SSDs. I recommend these SSD.

Using this ssd as a 2nd drive to store games on the pc, in the past month this has been reliable and boots up games fairly quickly without any issues.

Easy to setup and start using. Just remove from the box, connect, and clone of format a new drive and go! So much faster than a HDD.

Bought a refurbished HP Elitebook Mini PC that comes standard with an M.2 drive and an extra bay for an additional SATA SSD. I already have two 500 GB internal SATA SSDs that I've mounted in external enclosures and use for backup purposes. Since I have such an extensive music collection, I typically store that separately from everything else. I bought this guy so I could house everything on one drive for convince. I installed it and so far things are going well. I've not had any problems.

I put this in a laptop. its fast. may laptop goes from off to windows sign in in less than 5 seconds. super happy with this product.

The SSD works great and reliable, so far never had one fail it's my go-to drive to upgrade any PC from the traditional drive.
