SATA drive died in my media PC needed something new with a good size. Got this on sale and man, the speed on this is unbelievable. OS boots and reboots - no more disk loads on Windows like before and the OS and apps run so much smoother. Definitely recommend if needing to update your drive. I also purchased the CORSAIR - Dual SATA Drive Enclosure for 2.5" Solid-State Drives - Black to go with this and it fits perfectly.

Works great. Has lasted and performed well. I would buy this again, price was excellent too.

I bought this unit while on sale a couple months ago, (cost me about 75.00 at BB) and it's been a GREAT BOOST to the speed of my Laptop. Added an extra 8 gigs of Ram to it as well, BUT the SSD is the game changer. I bought the Apricorn Notebook Drive Upgrade kit for 30.00 to make the Cloning easier. Hooked everything up to my HP Laptop, inserted the CD for the clone and transferred EVERYTHING over to the SSD in about 30 min. Installed the new SSD and Booted up FAST and WITHOUT any BSOD issues! Only thing I noticed is my Mouse curser flashes for about 1 Minute, ( laptop booting up) and then it's fine.

I’ve been looking at upgrading the HDD in my laptop to a SSD to get better performance and eek out a little more life from my aging laptop. This was a direct swap for my old HDD - same space, same screw holes to secure it, same laptop connection. I used a free version of acronis to clone the SSD. You will need to get an adapter cable to connect the SSD to one of the ports on your laptop. It’s not included with the SSD, so you will need to buy one. Been using the new drive for a month, no issues and markedly improved speed.

Easy to install, takes tiny space on my desk, it processes data way fast. Great step up from my other non-solid state external hard drive.

Not necessarily the fastest drive on the market but fast enough for most peoples needs. I use them for the primary boot drives on all the computers I build so my main concern is reliability. Having said that the boot times are still always under 30 seconds. And if you shop around for sales they can be had for a reasonable price.

I got this to replace the hard drive in my Lenovo laptop. After using one of the disk cloning devices to copy the old drive to this one, the laptop booted up effortlessly and with no issues, both with linux and windows 10. Performance is much better than with the hard drive. Installation was easy as it's the same size as a laptop hard drive, though depending on the laptop brand it may be easy or difficult to access the drive bay.

Replaced a WD BLUE 500 GB SSD with this drive in my gaming laptop. It only has the OS loaded I have my games loaded on another 2TB high performance SSD. WD software for Blue and Black drives works well with both. Highly recommended for storage and value.

Great deal for a huge amount of storage. Easy to install and works just fine. Access is lightning fast.

Tons of storage - great reliability - I use it as a spare C drive - clone my C drive to it and if the C drive fails, this one is ready to roll.

Out of all the HDD/SSD brands that I've used, Western Digital still takes the cake. Might be slightly more expensive than Toshiba, PNY, or some other competitors but that reliability is definitely worth the difference. I bought this to be used as my main game-storage device. My operating system is stored on a 250gb M.2 drive, this WD will house my games and I will use a larger standard hard disk drive for extra multimedia storage.

I built custom pc professionally. This is my go to SSD for storage space. (I use Nvme for boot drive) Fast, reliable and good price.

So far has been a great, cool running drive, but I have only used it in a PS4. I chose to do this since the older model PS4s run hot. This helps a little bit of that heat from building up. This drive may not be the fastest on the market, but it is reliable, well made and runs cool. The PS4 loads so much faster as well and not having an SSD these days in a console that constantly moves around is just asking for HDD trouble and early replacement.

Bought this to replace my primary drive and it's working great! It's fast and reliable and it didn't break the bank.

I purchased 2 of these and upgraded the original hard drives in our 10 year old HP pavilion Desktop, and our 11 year old Sony Vaio laptop. You would be a mazed how fast these systems perform after installing these SSD. Fast and efficient! Absolutely worth the price that’s been reduced due to the newer M.2 drives on the market. There are plenty of videos available online to support the steps to install this, and free cloning software from multiple trusted sites.

Drive itself performs well, as expected. Good price. Best buy's customer service is great, even in a pandemic. I had an issue where the drive was invisible to Windows 10. Just simply NOT showing up. However, it was visible in the computer BIOS. If you are having this issue it's a simple fix. The Fix: The bios was listing the WD drive as a HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and NOT as an SSD (Solid State Drive). Change it in your bios to treat it as an SSD and then it will show up in Windows the next time you boot in.

I bought this 1TB WD Blue SATA SSD to increase my storage capacity for games, it replaced a 7 year old 250GB SSD. PC games are getting bigger and bigger and I am happy that this SSD was on sale. WD Blue is a very reliable lineup, I have used WD Blue and Black ssds for a few years now and have never had one fail on me. For gaming or even general usage, SATA SSDs are great, you don't need to spend extra money on NVME SSDs. I strongly recommend this to expand your storage.
