So formatted it and started again. It’s been almost a month now and no problems. And it’s an SSD so it’s better than HDD

Hard Drive replacement

Stephen with Geek Quad was excellent at diagnosing the problem and offering solutions. The technician to to transfer my data from the old drive but it died in the process. Stephen took the time after the install to help me reinstall several programs made sure I understand any changes from the old drive. The staff was excellent, especially, Stephen.

Some issues ??

It had a 1TB SATA hard drive in it that ran all the time and problems running videos without buffering a lot. I thought this would stop that problem. It did not. I also installed Windows 10 on it and the next day it would not boot. I reinstalled Windows 10 and the next day it would not boot again. In all fairness this might be an issue of the computer being so old that its drivers just did not like a SSD drive. I had this same issue on another 6 year old computer but increasing Ram and running Windows 8 fixed that issue. I just wonder why the 1TB SSD drive would run Windows 10 on the old computer but not the 1TB SSD drive.
