Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, this is a tremendous upgrade to my PS4, at first I wanted to bit the bullet and try to get the PS5 but a couple of people including one of my co-worker is having some usual issue with their PS5 so instead I will wait it out to get one but in the mean time this SSD would suffice while I wait. This SSD was on Best Buy Daily Deal, good price at the time so I jumped on it instead of looking somewhere else.

WD Blue Drives are good quality.

I've owned several and they all work well. Several years ago I owned 4 1TB WD Green Drives that lasted over 10 years each, but the green label isn't quite the same now. Green is a lower quality SSD (in terms of read / write lifespan) while Blue is mid-tier and the Black Drives are the sports cars of the WD SSD World. If you need performance and have the money buy the Black drives... if you just need a good working drive buy the Blue drives. IMHO avoid the greens unless you just want it for a scratch drive.

PS4 Pro Upgrade

Games and os load much quicker! Even assets in game load quicker, not quite as much pop in but also depends on each individual game of course. Very happy with purchase due to ease of use and size. Also got an excellent deal when purchased at $109.99

Amazing write speeds

My SSD has been through so much since building my PC and still continues to write at incredible speeds. I love how compact this WD SSD is because I was able to mount it in the smallest of spaces on the rear of my rig. I will definitely by more of these in the near future!

Wow - Huge Speed Boost!!!

What a HUGE difference! PC starts up in a Flash! Virus scans and file transfers significantly faster (like 'in a flash'!). Got a significant performance boost by adding this drive and got it at a GREAT PRICE! Strongly recommend going to SSD!

Huge Speed Boost

The full bootup time (from off to logged in and ready to use) seemed very slow even from the beginning. Over several years of use and several "clean" Win10 installs, I was never able to actually get the computer to respond more quickly. Factoring in all of the specs of the computer, the bottleneck seemed to be happening with the 7200RPM platter HDD that came with the computer. This WD SSD was on sale and I have had an excellent experience with other WD Blue series SSDs, I decided to upgrade the drive in my computer. After a clean install, I was up and running within 10 minutes. My load times from cold boot to fully operational dropped to under 30 seconds, vs the 5 minutes (yes 5 minutes) it used to take. YMMV depending on your other hardware specs, but for me, this was a HUGE performance boost. Even switching between programs, loading programs, and general document editing is now snappy as I would have expected it to be from the beginning. Bear in mind too that this is the only piece of hardware that I changed, everything else in my computer is stock from factory. Wish I would have upgraded the computer in the beginning.
