Upgraded my SATA HD to this SATA SSD and it provided a significant performance increase in speed to my old PC. Easily ghosted my primary drive for free using third party software. DO NOT USE Acronis True Image software to ghost your drive. Its free for WD drives but it is super slow and buggy in my experience.

It was very easy to install this 2.5” SSD to my pc laptop. The hard part was to transfer data from old hard drive to this new drive. It took me a while to find WD software to do the transfer. After complete transferring process, the drive runs good with no problem. It’s much faster than my old 5400rpm drive. It was a good upgrade.

This is like the SanDisk. Quick & easy. Im satisfied.

I bought this for my Atomos Ninja V video recorder because the little SSD they want to sell with it costs way too much. This option is just one third the cost but just as effective. It does stick out a little but if it saves me $200, I can get over it pretty easily. This is definitely the most cost-effective way to store massive video files from cameras.

My computer had almost no space left on its 110G drive. I replaced the old drive with this sleeker, but internally larger, drive, and it was like having a new computer! All functions are faster, and it’s certainly much quieter. Plus, I have a lot more storage space!

Coming from traditional HDDs, the performance gain is mind blowing. Waiting 5 minutes for windows to load from a cold start to a usable state has been reduced to under a minute. I chose WD because it has a good reputation and the sale price made it a good value. Be sure to research if your HDD is replaceable before purchasing.

I’ve never replaced my own hard drive. When I opened up my laptop for the first time, I discovered this WD drive was in my computer. It’s always preformed really well and the only reason for it’s replacement was wanting to switch from a HDD to a SSD. The new SSD works beautifully and my computer runs and starts up so much faster. What’s not to love about that!

Switching to a solid state drive is the main and cheapest update you can do for your PC, My friends and I; are sure that Samsung is one of the first brands for a solution of Hard Drives in Solid State, my PC detected it immediately, it has an excellent quality, installation was very easy, the right price for the great benefits in rapidity and security, fully recommended

I upgraded to this SSD and it is quick! So far no issues with bootup time, and it is quiet. I have only had this for about a month so I cannot give too much of a review, but the price was right and it is a reputable brand. As of right now, I'm very satisfied with this.

The hard drive in my HP laptop was slowing down and making noise. I purchased the WD- Blue 1 TB SATA 2.5” Internal Solid State Drive as a replacement. It was a snap to install, and install windows on it. I have trusted Western Digital hard drives for years in my computers. They are the most reliable.

This 1TB SSD replaced a 500 MB 7,200 RPM traditional drive on a Dell laptop. The physical installation was simple, using the laptop's instructions. The hard part was figuring out the hard drive cloning software provided by WD; while the instructions were good, there was no clear explanation on which method to use to go from a small original drive to a larger replacement drive and being able to use the entire destination drive. Using the easy method did not provide maximum use of the WD SSD; the alternative method did. Overall, a good drive so far, 30 days after installation, and the laptop's fan is seldom heard since the new SSD's installation.

Bought to upgrade the HDD on my son's HP Omen laptop. Western Digitals software made it easy to clone the drive. Laptop runs way faster, load times are amazingly faster. Got it on sale too. Been using Western Digital Blue drive for years, great value and reliability.

My PC went from taking 8-10 mins to restart and 5 mins to boot up to taking less than a minute to restart and 40 seconds to boot up. I should have switched from hdd to ssd years ago, and this hard drive is so much faster. It's like a new PC. A+

Works! Had it in my pc for a few years now. No problem. I didnt do any stress testing on it to compare io speeds to other drives.anyway its good, no complaints. I do programming, teaching and gaming . All good.

Cloned my hard drive to this one and sped up my 3 year old machine considerably. It's worth it! Thinking of getting some more RAM to really take advantage.
