Purchased to replace old SATA. Harddrive is FAST (as expected for SSD), but had so much trouble installing Windows on it - No instructions on how to do it included (or at least where to go for instructions). Basically, this product works if you're very tech savvy. Also no screws included to mount the harddrive - be sure to purchase separately if you intend to not have it sitting in space...

My internal HDD was causing intermittent problems with Outlook. I ordered this SDD to replace it. I used the WD software to clone it, After cloning it I changed the dive letter to the old HDD. I removed the old HDD, powered on and Outlook stated fine. I have had no additional problems.

Had to increase storage on my PC. Got this and had to learn how to copy my original drive, but it was worth it!

I have recently started to build my own PC. I didnt think SSDs were really important for a build. I was wrong SSDs make your PC boot time a fraction of what a regular HDD takes. My wife's new PC I built takes 10 seconds to boot. I would go to using HDDs to store things but even with that the price for a 1tb SSD is not that expensive and it runs way quicker. As for the length of using I cant tell you how long they last. But i can say that a regular HDD hss lasted me 13 yrs. sooo heres to hoping SSDs last just as long.

This is a very good hard drive and it performs well. The hard drive is fast, quite and the computer starts up very quickly. By upgrading my hard drive it feels like I have a new computer. The Geek Squad did an outstanding job installing the drive and restoring my data from the old hard drive.

This drive is very fast compared to a standard hard drive.

Very reasonable price and good performance. I installed it on my Vaio laptop and there was a huge performance difference in spite of not soo good ram.

Very good affordable option for either upgrading from mechanical drive or in my case adding to a PC for "overflow" storage. I put single player games and video files on this drive. Works well and good price! For those not computer savvy, search YouTube for a "format hard drive" tutorial.

It was the cheapest SSD I could find that was at least 1TB and it has been in my PC for a little over two months and it's helped tremendously with my storage.

Upgraded my 2011 MBP with this SSD. It feels 10x faster.

I've used it as my Boot drive on my gaming pc for about 7ish months now and it's pretty good. I haven't had any issues with it, and the WD app for windows is a useful tool to keep track of your ssd's condition/health so you should have a pretty good warning for when its going to fail.

SSD is so much better than spin drives and love the speed.
