I wouldn’t purposely drop the case with the hard drive in it, but I feel confident that it would keep the drive protected. The price of the case was double the cost of the Insignia brand, but I feel that it’s made much better.

Nice case for My Passport drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Western Digital case only fits slim form factor 2.5” external drives like the My Passport with the USB cable stored inside the case. Thicker drives such as the WD Easystore will barely fit in this case without the USB cable stored inside. Adding the USB cable into the case with an Easystore equals the lid will barely zip shut with the case bulging in the middle. The Insignia brand hard shell case fits the Easystore with USB cable inside the case with room to spare and no bulging case. This case works fine with the My Passport as the packaging states.
