A Good Idea

I've had several 500GB to 2TB external drives and when I travel I really like the idea of a little bump protection. I have more than 20 external drives and several have taken little tumbles. I have only lost one completely. It was a two foot fall onto a carpeted floor that must have caught the edge just right, or just wrong. All data read capability was completely lost. Not scrambled or lost sectors, completely incapable of accessing the disc. A little bit more cushion from a case like this would mean that 500GB of Mexico would still be available.

A hint of red color added to the case, helps to identify my new HD from the many other "all black cases" that I have from the other brands. To bad they don't sell a variety of colors to choose from.

It has the sturdy frame you want and good protection inside. The side storage area inside is great for keeping the USB cord handy but out of the way.

It only made sense to have a case that is designed to protect the drive with a proper fit. Much hardier than most drive cases.
