This came in handy with my Mac Mini and it's limited storage. This holds my movies and music easily. I have room to grow for a few years.

Shucced this drive and now am currently using it in my NAS. It's an amazing drive. Wait until these drive are on sale before buying, unless you are in a bind and need storage.

This is my SIXTH Western Digital External Hard Drive that I've owned over the years. This one, at 12TB of storage space, is HUGE and will be an awesome addition for your storage needs. And the price was right! I was able to purchase mine on sale during the Christmas Holiday for under $200, which is a steal for that insane amount of storage! Very Highly Recommended!!

Over the last couple of years, I have purchased several of these. They're very efficient and easy to use with a ton of storage space. Well worth the purchase price.

Needed a much bigger storage for my Nvidia Sheild Pro. Easy setting it up, so far works as it should. Will buy another as I'm already running out of space on this 12TB drive.

Good long lasting WD drive is so much better than Seagate! Connect to MacBook Pro is easy! Great deal also! Better price than Amazon! Wish I could have bought more than 1!

I've had many of Western Digitals external hard drives. They all work great.

Best external hard drives for the price. The package is small and simple. Use these to back up photography collection and working images going into Photoshop

Lot's of room for all your media. It's a little loud but not bad. Cables are long enough to hide it out of view. Definitely will get another one to mirror this one.

Good performance but 5400 RPM, not 7200 as described.  Excellent capacity for the $ when on sale.

This is a massive amount of storage for the price that these go for. Setup was as simple as connecting it to my computer and reformatting it for the file system I prefer.

Drive seems to be pretty good, to be honest. It's just a white label SATA drive inside of it (3.5" drive)... a bit heavy so I assume it just has a lot of platters. No major issue there. The unit is formatted with NTFS to start which was fine. Windows located it with no problem and speeds were about 200MB/s on USB 3.0 so that's great. Does this really need a manual? Not really. It's essentially just a USB 3.0 -> SATA adapter and then put in a box. I know that people say you have to tape over the three left pins on SATA when you shuck the drive, but I just slid it into my Synology 118 and it took it with no issue. A PC would probably not be as forgiving, but the Synology is fine. Shucking it wasn't too bad, but once you do that, keep in mind you lose the warranty (if there is one)... but the Synology seems to be fine with the drive.

This is great for adding more storage to your gaming console or computer. The only drawback is that it has to have a power supply to work.

Well, I use it for a while and it still working, and have a lot of space. it just little fan noise which is why only 4 star from me.

Works great connected to an Asus router as a media storage drive using Plex on an Nvidia shield. Max 3 streams at one time but holds a ton of media!!!
