I bought this so I could store all of my files all on one hard drive and have everything more organized and together.

The WD easystore 12TB External USB 3.0 is easy to get going. Just plug it in to the USB port and away it goes.

Excellent for storage. Easy to use and you're up and running in 5 minutes.

The drive comes pre-formated so you don't spend all week waiting to format 12TB of storage and you don't need their proprietary software to use it, just plug it in and go. No criticisms on the performance of the unit itself. Only thing I'd improve is Power Over USB. Instead it requires a separate power cord that adds to the clutter, however this is a "desktop" drive, not a "portable" hard drive, so that may have been the consideration. Otherwise it's another perfect product from WD.

A well built HD. Works everytime I need to do a complete back up of my entire system. 12Tb for under$300, what is more to say.

This hard drive holds a great deal of information. I have used it to back up three of my hard drives.

Great product to backup all of irreplaceable pictures and files. Have had many Netgear products and they are very reliable.

I’m currently using this product to back up a large file of music. Previously i stored all the music on a NAS drive but the NAS drive failed and I lost everything. I now have to re-record everything again which will take months. I’m hoping to avoid that problem this time by storing the music on this drive and keeping it in a remote location in case it’s necessary. This won’t be the only copy but it might be the safest. I bought the unit for speed of data transfer which is is pretty good so far.

Shucked this baby for the 12 TD so I can add to my synology. Working great so far. Wait for deals on these hard drive if you can.

Lots of storage at a great price. I mostly use it for video at this time and the speed is totally fine. Pleased so far...!

Really good drive, I have two of them. Sometimes it unmount itself, but mounts right back up. Still reliable as a Backup!!

Excellent drive for storage. Have used easystore for years without issues.

Great large capacity drive. Don’t expect lightning fast transfer rates, but better performance than the smaller portable drives. No problems with 4K media storage and playback. Recommend waiting for a sale as this drive hits the $199 and under mark if you’re patient and wait. I own two 12TB and three 10TB of these drives. No issues.

The device works fine. I cannot get the software to work as described, but I have my own ways of creating partitions. I purchased it for its 12TB size.

Holds a lot. Couldn’t beat it for the price. Works great.

The price is good for the volume. However, it makes some odd, soft clicking noise while sitting in standby like some other reviews. Not sure it's a common problem for this model/brand.
