Large answer for a small problem

Bought this 12tb hard drive because I didn't want to have to buy another anytime soon - I wont. Transferred all my pictures from multiple sources and used about 5% of it. Write and read times are good also. Probably overkill for most.

Your storage locker at home

If you collect movies this is a great solution. It does spin down which conserves power and hard drive life but it may take a few seconds to spin up after it has been idle. Glossy black case looks nice but does collect fingerprints like you collect movies.

So far so good

Works great, but if you have Macs like us, you need to format it and that's easy to do. There is an online page that walks you through it. So, it's not plug and play for Mac users.

12TB WD Storage Device

I'm able to store all my videos, photos and music into the storage device instead of cramming up computer memory. I'm pleased that it works very well and the price was a great bargain.
