Pretty good drive for the price. Decent quality drives

Wanted to upgrade my WD 4tb to something with more storage and soon as Best Buy was having a sale ,I jumped on it and no regrets over here .I transferred all my data to it and it did so considerably fast I have to say .

Needed extra storage for my photos, etc, and saw this one on sale at Best Buy. It is very spacious and will take a long time for me to fill this one! I have had no problems at all since I have had this external hard drive!

A little slower than I expected, especially when compared to my 8tb Seagate external, but whatever 12TB in one convenient external drive. Just right for archiving tons of hd videos, hifi music, blu ray movies, books / magazines, and software. Already used up 7tb of space, I would and will buy again to make a second copy.

So far very happy with this line of external hard drives from Western Digital. Size is great...I bought these during one of the sales and the price per TB was fantastic. I will eventually be adding more to my collection.

Easy to setup, very quiet and fast. Excellent price with quick delivery. WD 12gb of great storage and reliability in an external hard drive and a great array of tools to keep it running in top shape

Very Nice drive that I use for videos, movies, pictures, and general backups. Looks like a solid design.

Setup is very easy, portable storage and lots of it.

Solid drive/decent speed. The 12TB WD External 3.0 Hard drive does exactly what you need.

Great value for the size of the HDD, these are solid and reliabable, if you are planning to remove the HDD out of the enclosure these are sata with the new version where you need to block the 3v pin.

Really good candidate for shucking, just keep in mind that you will need to cover the 3rd contact on the drive to prevent the disk from refusing to spin if you plan to use it as an internal drive for another PC.

The WD Easystore 12TB drive is easy to install and use. The main thing is to ensure that the drive is not set to fast removal to maximize the speeds. When hooked up to a usb 3.0 port, I am getting ~121Mbps transfer rates.

These hard drives have a lot of space for backups. I use these for computer and network backups. The speed is relatively fast. I have had no problems with these drives. I cauught this on sale and the value was very good.

I finally have plenty of storage for my projects without having to keep switching drives so I don't have to delete my raw work and can go back and edit my stuff completely different and keep both edits

Love it. It backs up all the c drive of my pc. Enough memory to copy all the files. It also has a application to allow backups to be scheduled automatically every day to your convenience.

I bought five of these. Two of them did not come formatted, which was strange. Once I formatted one it showed as 1 TB. I took it to my local BB store where a Geek Squad agent took the case off and found that it had an old 1 TB drive inside. Apparently there was someone in California running a scam where they replaced the drives with smaller used ones and then sold the bigger drives. I must have received two of those returns. Best Buy was great about exchanging them for new drives, and all of the five drives work well now. The drives are quiet and the cost per terabyte can't be beat.

Needed a larger external drive to backup my data. My previous 8TB drive was filled up. The Easystore 12TB was easy to attach to my Windows 10 desktop and worked as expected with my Acronis backup software.

I bought this six months ago when it was on sale and only connected it this week. So far the unit meets my needs and I have no complaints about Western Digital products. My complaint -- and the reason I'm rating as 4 rather than 5 stars -- is the lack of information regarding software and setup. To start with, the only in-the-box paperwork is primarily legalise regarding arbitration limitations, with no information about the unit itself. In VERY small print, a WD web-address is provided for downloads. Well, that URL is crap. You won't find what you need there. Instead, go here: https://support-en.wd.com/app/products/product-detail/p/267 for downloads for the drive manual in pdf, utilities setup and backup software. None of this is explained with what came in the box. "Easy" it is not. Also, at this time, you cannot register this product on the WD registration page -- https://support-en.wd.com/app/account/assets/product-registration -- I have no idea why, but will follow up on that later.

A few days after I bought it, it went on sale for $20 less than I paid, it would have been nice to get a discount to the lower price. But it is easy to use and works very well with my MacBook Pro .
