I bought this to make my own home cloud. The WD-12 T is fast and quite. Was able to take a lot of programs off the computers and free up space.

Software suite required to run this device is now obsolete, and requires an additional PAID subscription software suite to function at basic levels. Unless you're willing to pay $100 annually, this product will not function as advertised or marked on its own box! Avoid WD backup products!!!

I have recently move away from seagate drives and am very happy with WD storage sizes and prices. I can't wait to got my next WD 12tb drive.

Works great. Gives me peace of mind to know that everything is backed up. Sleek design allows it to fit in small places.

If you have a PS4 it will not let you use this with it. There is a max of 8TB external storage. I didn't know that til after we tried to hook it up. Other than that it would have been a great addition to what we needed it for.

Absolutely the best for storage. Just plug and play, 12 tb at your disposal. WD does not disappoint.

Live the huge hard drive to back up all personal data. Wish it would not need a powered connection, but since it is not used mobil it’s ok.

Best to format as NTFS because will offer more space efficiency. Actual formatted capacity is 10.9 TB. I would buy this again.

A very decent hdd. A bit heavy enclosure but that's completely fine. I use it for backup and the led light is quite discreet in my room when it's dark. I wish the usb cable were a bit longer though.

I've had this for a month or so and so far it has performed very well and had good response times when accessing it from my PC.

No complaints and good value for money. I use it as my backup storage and it helps me to manage all my data at one place.

Didn’t like this drive, failed after 2 months. Took 3 months to get replacement from WD !

This works great by the way I just hooked it up on my Xbox one x and it started working I would definitely recommend this to anyone

The drive arrived on time, performs as expected, my NAS has USB 2.0 only, so the speed can only reach 25 M /S, but with USB 3.0, should be able to get 70 M/S or above. Good deal for the drive.

I have always had better experiences with western digital hard drives, so when you can get one at a great price, grab it.

Got it for a great price. Transfers are fairly quick. Tested clean when initially purchased. No issues so far. Would recommend.

Excellent for personal cloud storage. Have mine hooked up to the router. No problems reading or writing.
