I recently purchased a WD easystore 12 TB external hard drive toreplace a failing Seagate 3 TB external hard drive. As a side note, I would have purchased the 14 TB WD drive, but I just didn't want to spend the extra $100.00. One odd thing about the WD drive is that it comes pre-formatted as one HUGE partition! When I called WD Tech. Support, I was told that WD does not recommend partitioning the drive...just make LOTS of folders if I feel the need to "organize" data. The other really odd thing WD recommends strongly is to TURN OFF the easystore drive BEFORE powering down the computer...and powering up the easystore BEFORE powering up the computer. The easystore does not turn off when the computer is powered down! It goes into stand-by mode. One last note...The easystore is lightning fast!

The device works great and can store a ton off pictures, files, and 3d prints. It awesome! Bulky and sturdy it would also act as an anti theft device if someone wanted to take your goods. Safety is always the way.

I have not had it long but usually have great success with the Western Digital drive line. Will update review after 6 months and let you know how performance and reliability is.

I purchased the WD - easystore 12TB External Drive to be used as a backup device. It was easy to install and so far is working flawlessly. I feel confident that this drive is meeting my needs and highly recommend it.

I needed a large backup capability, and I needed it quickly. Previous experience with other vendors was negative, so I gave Western Digital a chance. The Best Buy curbside pickup was quick and easy, as was the WD installation. Its been running a month now with ZERO hassles of any sort, so I am quite pleased. It is quiet, fast (or at least fast enough for my purposes), and just does its job. What more could I ask for? I couldn't afford the espresso maker add-on. This device has my seal of approval and two thumbs up.

Our home router has a USB 3.0 port turning this external hard drive into an instant network attached storage device. Great value for the money and crossing my fingers for hard drive longevity.

This is perfect if you have a lot of files wd never fails to amaze me. No defects and I had it for a good while now.

This HDD is among the best deals because the 12-14TB range is the best for TB/$. Works great for holding Chia plots. I also like the clean design which looks better than the other WD models.

I'm amateur photographer and need lots of storage. Never had an issue with these large drives from western digital. They're fast and reliable.

It was time to upgrade from the multiple smaller external hard drives I have been using to something a little more substantial to save all my video files to. This drive fit the bill nicely at a very reasonable price.

Massive storage and faster than anticipated. Copied and combined thousands of mp4 files from 2 - 5tb drives. This took awhile but loading and playing these files now is very quick. Very happy with the purchase,

This is a great size drive for traveling with large amounts of data. I bought this when the larger drive model was more expensive. Test the drive thoroughly to ensure it's not defective at reception.

The easystore is what you would expect from a large capacity and cost effective external hard drive. It gives you storage galore for all your media and files but don't expect transfer speeds to blow you away. If you need space and don't require fast transfer speeds, this is the drive for you.

bought to start ripping my DVDs and Blu Rays to digital. Plug and play, very easy to use. Even with ripping whole Blu Rays I'm gonna be able to get a ton on here before it gets close to filling up.
