When you need more storage.

This drive passed all drive tests and took more than 50 hours to do it in but found no faults! I was happy to begin using it with the piece of mind that it had no out of box issues.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.order it and came in pretty quick 2 days before schedule date. when i open up the box you could hear something rattle around inside the enclosure, but operation seem unaffected. so far so good. with that being said recent frustrations with WD may lead me to change back to seagate. depends on how next drive behaves planning on buying another 14tb with in the next 3 months.

Great solution for backups

I use this to back up my large-capacity RAID 0 drives in case of a disaster. Because the connection is USB 3.0, the throughput is pretty fast for a mechanical drive.

More than enough room to store all my data

Photos, movies and TV DRV programs take up a lot of room. The external drive has a fast 3.0 USB port cable. Ample space for backup of multiple PC's even a MAC. Looks great on the desktop too. Quiet and run cool.

Dependable Workhorse!

The load times and data retrieval is pretty good. It is not enarly as fast as an SSD but it is pretty good when using with files not accessed everyday. Very reliable and dependable!
