Good Drive

Cheap and Slow - Good value at under $200

They are slow transfer rate even in USB3.0, so prepare for a long winter's nap. They are also fragile, so keep them someplace safe. I would NOT use just 1, you need 2 to cover failure.

Got a 7200 RPM this time!

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Somehow I got a 7200 RPM drive inside of my case, and I get super fast speeds that start out +1Gb/s, then drop to about 400-500 MB/s. However, the previous one I bought was a 5400 RPM, so I guess it's just the luck of the draw, so to speak. I got mine on a super discount, which they occasionally run here, so I got it for around $189 before taxes, and I think that's a great price.

What a deal

Slow going

It’s slow to awaken and extremely sluggish — very different from my WD 2, 4 or even 8 TB drives. In this case bigger does not appear to be better.
