    This finally hit a price point I was aiming for and I grabbed it. Using with Macrium for automated backups and it’s terrific. WD drives have always been reliable and quiet for me.

    I ended up grabbing this for around 200 bucks. I shucked the case and threw the bare drive in my NAS

    It got the job done. Just wish it didn’t die 2 months after purchase. Lost everything that I moved over, which is a major pain.

    Unlike WD's competitors they haven't adopted Microsoft's standard in how they measure a terabyte. Because of this you're actually getting less than what you paid for & I strongly recommend not paying full price for any WD's storages because of this. It is NOT 14TB it is 12.7. Measuring 1kilobyte as 1000 bytes instead of 1024 may not seem like much but it adds up especially when the prices are compared to WD's competitors which you'll get what you actually paid for.

    I've purchased many of the EasyStore line over the past several years. The production quality is just in freefall. I'm on this page looking for a new HDD to replace this item which is making an imminent-death warning clicking noise and the banner at the top of the page says I bought it May of last year. Completely unacceptable lifespan for a $200 product.
