Plenty of room to backup your files. However, be informed that the backup app that comes with this device is outdated. I almost return the product because I thought it was defective. I had to contact WD for help. It turns out you have to install Acronis from their website for the backup app. Once it's installed, I had no problem with the device.

I use this as my holy grail of backup for my games,movies, software everything. Great product an love there wd server hard drives too. Besides that my kids played around my shelf and it fell 5 ft. Thought oh man grr. ....nope case snapped back in place hd still works no glitches. As a IT engineer i put alot of trust in western digital product for a reason. Ill buy another later with more storage.

Bought during a sale for 200 and it's definitely the best price point per TB and should be picked up anytime it reaches < 15/TB

Amazing drive. From the WD Family this is my 10th. All have been running 24/7 for 2 years now. No errors. When on sale (~200) it's an amazing deal.

Thus far, this has served its purpose for archiving my massive amounts of video data. I had a previous 5GB WD external hard drive that died, and this was used to replace it. When the previous one died, whenever I would pick it up and tilt it on its side, it would make a sawblade-scraping sound, which ultimately led to destruction of some data. This one makes a similar sound straight out of the box when I tilt it, so I'm afraid it may have the same issues sooner rather than later. As long as it is in its proper upright position, it has no issues reading/writing data, makes no obscene noises, so hopefully it lasts longer than the other one.

Good performance. Good value (I bought it 2021 BF Price). I also have 10TB version which is working fine for two years now.

Life saver. Me and my wife are streamlining or household files and we haven't even even gotten this thing 30% full. I love it. Simple plug and play.

This is a very good hard drive. Just plug and play with no problems. It has a huge amount of storage but is very fast.

I got this external drive for an amazing deal. I pretty much use it as a NAS by connecting it to my router. I have been using it for backup purposes for over a year and it's still working great.

It's a large, inexpensive, portable hard drive. it comes shipped with WD's crapware, which is annoying, but you can delete it easily enough. It will work exactly as expected and fits the price.

Excellent value external HD. Massive 14 TB of storage for a very good price. Cost per TB is likely the lowest to be found. Highly recommend.

Great for storing lots of data. Has been reliably working so far. I've stored all my pictures and media in it. Read and write speeds are good.

Large capacity drive, great for tons of backups. WD reliability

I needed an archive backup drive when we were having newtork and server connectivity issues. I connected the new drive and it was immediately recognized. Backups and transfers go smoothly. This is well worth the money if your aren't into putting your valuable data up on "The Cloud". Capacity of 14 Tb is probably more than you'll ever need but that's what Bill Gates said about 20 Mb hard drives 40 years ago.

I've have not had a WD die one me. I hope this one lasts as long. On sale, it is hard to beat. Just know that WD has not adopted MS calculation of storage so the storage will show up at 12.7 TB and it is not a mistake. FYSA.

So much space , 14 TB for a great price! Im able to safely store my files and this was easy to use.

12.7 tb total available storage. I got this on sale, you can't beat that. It seems solid to me. I have 3 other WD products never had any issues.

Easy to use. Plug in, format and store files. Works well as media storage for Plex server. Files stream with no issues even using usb.

At $199, this is a great price/per TB deal for a drive that is quick and not too loud.
