Great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plenty of room to backup your files. However, be informed that the backup app that comes with this device is outdated. I almost return the product because I thought it was defective. I had to contact WD for help. It turns out you have to install Acronis from their website for the backup app. Once it's installed, I had no problem with the device.

Excellent price & size.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good disk, great price. Runs a little hot in the case, you might want to put a small fan blowing on it. Tested with WD DLGDIAG extended test, no bad blocks.

Large and reliable.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this as a backup and to host my media files on Plex. It replaces a 10GB Seagate External Drive. Performance on the WD is than than my Seagate.

Great deal and reliable storage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought during a sale for 200 and it's definitely the best price point per TB and should be picked up anytime it reaches < 15/TB

Great for my needs
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing has been great for filing my movies and videos. They basically all I have on there. The write speed is not slow but not fast either. It is fairly loud though, but I got it on sale and like I said it does what it needs to do.

A+ Especially when on sale
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing drive. From the WD Family this is my 10th. All have been running 24/7 for 2 years now. No errors. When on sale (~200) it's an amazing deal.

Good storage, questionable longevity
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Thus far, this has served its purpose for archiving my massive amounts of video data. I had a previous 5GB WD external hard drive that died, and this was used to replace it. When the previous one died, whenever I would pick it up and tilt it on its side, it would make a sawblade-scraping sound, which ultimately led to destruction of some data. This one makes a similar sound straight out of the box when I tilt it, so I'm afraid it may have the same issues sooner rather than later. As long as it is in its proper upright position, it has no issues reading/writing data, makes no obscene noises, so hopefully it lasts longer than the other one.

A much needed HDD for backups
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was so glad to purchase this WD easystore external hard drive for a near bargain price. This was something I could not pass up. There is so much hard drive space, I could split it up 3 ways to back up my desktop and laptop along with my mom’s laptop, or even clone one of these PCs if I wanted to.

Works great as an external NAS drive.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this external drive for an amazing deal. I pretty much use it as a NAS by connecting it to my router. I have been using it for backup purposes for over a year and it's still working great.

Solid & Affordable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a large, inexpensive, portable hard drive. it comes shipped with WD's crapware, which is annoying, but you can delete it easily enough. It will work exactly as expected and fits the price.

Nice drive, just a little noisy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I like it, but it does make some different sounds that I heard and wasn't sure what it was. It is the hard drive starting up when I login to my computer. So far it works great and seems to be plenty fast for what I am doing. I may move it to the other side of my tower to hopefully cut down some of the noise it makes. It isn't loud, but a noise that I hear. Some people may not even notice it.

Great High-Capacity External Hard Drive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed an archive backup drive when we were having newtork and server connectivity issues. I connected the new drive and it was immediately recognized. Backups and transfers go smoothly. This is well worth the money if your aren't into putting your valuable data up on "The Cloud". Capacity of 14 Tb is probably more than you'll ever need but that's what Bill Gates said about 20 Mb hard drives 40 years ago.
